Hong Kong Team 1977

This is a shirt used by the Hong Kong team in the 1978 World Cup qualifying games. That was a remarkable team and they beat Singapore to top Group 1 at the first stage (see http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/edition=50/preliminaries/preliminary=44/index.html ). Unfortunately, the team lost all 10 games in the AFC/OFC playoff (see http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/edition=50/preliminaries/preliminary=46/index.html ). At the end, Iran became the qualifying team in the AFC/OFC region.
This shirt is characteristics because of the inclusion of the label "FIFA WORLD CUP 1978" under the HKFA team badge. I would be glad if someone knowledgeable can tell me:
1) if this shirt is used only in the final 10 play-off games, or in both the first stage and play-off;
2) who used the number 17 in that tournament.

Japan away shirt 1988 - 1991

This is a recent acquisition, which is likely to be a player shirt or one actually used in a game.

From the limited information I can gather, this should be an away shirt (the home shirt should be red) used between 1988 to 1991. This should also be the virst version of Japan shirt with the JFA logo instead of the national flag.

Can someone who knows Japanese, especially friends from Japan, tell me more about this shirt?
